It's played out on a sci-fi backdrop, but there's no mention of multiplayer - bummer.

Flight simulators are some of the most complex games ever made, designed to accurately duplicate the experience of flying machines that it takes decades to master. Some of the more obsessed PC gamers create home-made cockpits with hundreds of variables to simulate the flight experience. That being said, trying to fit the experience into a touch game could be called "somewhat ambitious." Air Navy Fighters crams in the F18, F14 and C-2A planes with carrier and airstrip landings. The free version has no missions, just an open world to fly around and crash into.

Feeling nostalgic for one of the worst live-action/animated movies of all time... which was admittedly pretty awesome when I was in elementary school? Space Ball isn't a full-fledged basketball game, instead featuring a B-ball theme on a pretty standard 2D Breakout game. The hyperbolic description is a little.... intense, but it looks fun enough. Nexus 7 owners seem to be having some trouble. Sadly, an R. Kelly soundtrack is not included.

Project Downforce brings back memories of F-Zero and Top Gear, with basic F1-style cars controlled with on-screen buttons. Developer Polygame proudly declares: "NO ADS. NO IN-APP PURCHASING. NO HIDDEN COSTS, EVER." Considering that the game is currently half off at $1, that's something I can get behind.
