New Android apps worth downloading: Philips Dictation Recorder, Real Soccer 2013
Here are a couple of Android apps to enjoy. Philips Dictation Recorder is an app aimed at business people who want to turn around documents more quickly and efficiently. Weve also got Real Soccer 2013, Gamelofts latest installment in their ongoing footy simulation which offers more features than ever.
Philips Dictation Recorder (Free)
Whats it about? This app lets you record, edit and send dictation files from Android smartphones, providing mobile flexibility and reducing document turnaround times.
Whats cool? Philips Dictation Recorder hopes to make you more productive. It offers powerful editing functions which let you insert, append or overwrite your recordings. The interface is clean and guides you through the apps functionality and it offers encryption so your words are kept secure and away from prying ears.
Who is it for? The app is clearly aimed at business professionals, especially because of its ability to interact with Philips Speech Exec Mobile Server (which enables a transcript to be sent directly to a specific workstation within a corporate network). However, it could be useful for anyone who needs a dictation solution that might help their productivity.
Whats it like? There are a few other dictation apps available in Google Play like Winscribe Personal Dictation or Dragon Remote Microphone.
Real Soccer 2013 (Free)
Whats it about? Gameloft is back with another installment of its free-to-play soccer simulation.
Whats cool? This time round, you get to reinforce your team by developing your clubs facilities, hiring new staff members, dealing with sponsors and more. Youll begin with a rookie squad, so need to improve your players abilities to reach the top leagues and compete against the best teams in the world. Players should expect better animations and sharper graphics, too
Who is it for? Fans of soccer games will want to take a look at this, but in typical Gameloft style its a freemium title so pushes the in-app purchases quite a bit (and theyll be necessary to succeed because your players stamina will run out quickly).
Whats it like? While Real Soccer 2013 is decent (especially for free) it doesnt match the gameplay or silky controls of some of its rivals like FIFA 12 by EA Sports or PES 2012 Pro Evolution Soccer despite being a newer release.
