Carrier 411
- Softbank is buying Sprint, and you're not going to believe it, but AT&T isn't too excited about that!
- Play Store carrier billing is coming to Verizon, or, time to set pins on the kids' phones.
Rumor Roundup
- Even really smart people (eg, those working at Google) forget that EXIF data exists - Nexus 4 anyone?
- Listen, Samsung fanboys - much like Santa, I know you want the Galaxy Nexus 2 to exist. But it's time to face facts: the next Nexus is an LG, and no typo on a Sprint web page is going to change that.
- The Sony Nexus we thought was fake is fake, according to the guy who faked it.
- The Nexus 10 is all up in our server logs, making us drool.
- The Incredible DLX has been spotted in the wild, is huge.
- Staples documents suggest the Nexus 7 8GB is headed for the chopping block, and the 32GB is already in stores, marking the first time internal Staples documents have ever suggested anything remotely interesting.
- Another Nexus 4 picture? Why not.
- Is Amazon going to buy TI's OMAP chip division? And, more importantly, will mobile processors be Prime shipping-eligible?
Android at Arms
- Oh, Apple, you really shouldn't have taken a case you weren't sure you'd win to the UK. I'm willing to bet Samsung might let it go, for about, I dunno, a billion or so dollars?
Code Google
- Google's having an event on October 29th. Things are going to happen. Possibly good ones.
- The Play Store now lets you buy Play Store credit directly from the web, for your account only. Birthday present for the forever alone?
- Play Store wishlists are rolling out, which is almost as useless as the credit you can buy from the web to pay for the items on your wishlist.
- The official Google Calendar app is out now, Sense users everywhere breathe massive sighs of relief.
The Hotsheet
- HTC announces the Butterfly J, giving me the most conflicted feelings I've ever had about a phone.
- The PadFone 2 is official, because someone has to keep the joke going, right?
- The Sprint Galaxy Note II is coming on October 25th; will cost $300, several of your limbs.
- The Optimus G is also coming to Sprint, for $200, on November 11th. It's coming to AT&T, too.
- Device Updates: RAZR M, Galaxy S III (Int.), Galaxy S III (US), Epic 4G Touch, XOOM (Wi-Fi), Galaxy Nexus (Yakju), Galaxy Nexus (Soju), DROID Bionic, LG Lucid, LG Spectrum,
