New Android apps worth downloading: RetailMeNot Coupons, INTRO, Jelly Jump

Here are three great Android apps to enjoy. RetailMeNot Coupons brings the popular discount website directly to your Android device complete with coupons for both online and local stores. Weve also got INTRO, a new app that uses your devices location capabilities to make business networking that little bit easier. Finally, theres Jelly Jump, a cute, addictive jumping game featuring a lovable penguin who just loves to dance.

RetailMeNot Coupons (Free)

Whats it about? RetailMeNot offers thousands of online and in-store discount coupons.

Whats cool? You can browse the companys top coupons, the most popular stores, view coupons by category or visit the days hottest deals. Once you see a coupon you want to use, its a simple tap to apply it online, or you can save it for later use. Coupons for brick-and-mortar stores can be redeemed directly from your phone. Like its website, the RetailMeNot app features community-powered success ratings for its coupons.

Who is it for? Savvy shoppers who love bargains will appreciate RetailMeNots extensive collection of discount coupons. They often boast about just how many they have, and in my online shopping experience, its a site which often emerges at the top of search engine results when hunting for coupon codes.

Whats it like? There are plenty of other popular coupon apps in Google Play like The Coupons App and GeoQpons. Alongside them, services like Groupon and LivingSocial are popular ways to grab a discount or two.

INTRO ($0.99)

Whats it about? Heres an intriguing app that aims to help grow your business network by making the right introductions that are most relevant to you.

Whats cool? INTRO hopes it will match you to the people you need to meet. It can also match freelancers to the project for which they have the right skills. INTRO uses the info from your current social networks like LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter and displays overlaps like shared companies, education establishments or other networks. The apps simple aim is to make business networking a whole lot easier.

Whos it for? As the app requires a LinkedIn log-in, heavy users of the business networking site and app could find INTRO useful, especially those looking for new opportunities or freelance work.

Whats it like? As mentioned, LinkedIn is this apps closest companion, but its underlying social discovery capabilities are not dissimilar to apps like Sonar (still in beta) or Localmind.

Jelly Jump (Free)

Whats it about? Jelly Jump is a fun and addictive jumping game featuring a cute penguin. It comes from the same folks who brought us the hugely popular Ninja Chicken.

Whats cool? Penguins. Penguins are cool, both literally and figuratively. In Jelly Jump, you must help this lovable (but sad) penguin who loves to dance look for new friends across the universe. On his journey, hell meet a number of creepy enemies, discover treasure, and jump on jellyfish, clouds and even space satellites.

Whos it for? Fans of old favorite jumping games will enjoy Jelly Jump. Its cute and addictive and uses simple tilt controls. There are six enemy types across six different worlds and three different kinds of power-up to collect. Theres also a store where you can purchase more fun gadgets and power-ups along with 57 different objectives to complete.

Whats it like? Old favorites like Doodle Jump and Mega Jump use a similar gaming mechanic, but if youre truly a fan of our flightless, aquatic friends, check out Air Penguin or even our curated list of penguin-based Android games. See, weve got you covered.
